Plagiarism and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
The Review of Futures Markets (RFM) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, research ethics, and scholarly publishing. Authors submitting manuscripts to the journal are expected to ensure that their work is original, accurately presented, properly cited, and prepared in accordance with accepted ethical standards.
Plagiarism Policy
The journal has a strict policy against plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct. All submitted manuscripts may be screened using recognized plagiarism-detection software prior to and, where necessary, during the peer-review process.
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying text, ideas, data, images, tables, or figures from another source without proper acknowledgment.
- Submitting another person's work as one's own.
- Inadequate citation or attribution of previously published material.
- Self-plagiarism, including the substantial reuse of an author's own published work without appropriate disclosure or citation.
- Duplicate or redundant publication of substantially similar research in multiple journals.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are appropriately cited and referenced. Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism, duplicate publication, falsified citations, manipulated content, or other forms of research misconduct may be rejected at any stage of the editorial process. If such issues are identified after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions as deemed appropriate.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
The journal recognizes the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI technologies in academic research and scholarly writing. Authors may use AI-based tools for purposes such as language improvement, grammar correction, formatting assistance, coding support, data processing, or analytical tasks, provided that such use is conducted responsibly and transparently.
Authors remain fully accountable for all content submitted to the journal, including any content generated, modified, analyzed, or assisted by AI tools. The use of AI does not diminish the author's responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, validity, and ethical compliance of the work.
AI systems and generative AI tools, including large language models, cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the content, approve manuscripts, disclose conflicts of interest, or comply with authorship requirements.
Where AI tools have been used in a substantial manner during the preparation of a manuscript, authors should provide an appropriate disclosure statement describing the nature and extent of such use. The Editorial Board may request additional information regarding the use of AI tools during the review process.
The use of AI-generated content for the fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or misrepresentation of research data, findings, images, references, or scholarly arguments is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate rejection of the manuscript or retraction of the published article.
Editorial Evaluation
The Editorial Board reserves the right to assess the originality and authenticity of all submissions and may employ appropriate tools and procedures to evaluate suspected plagiarism, AI-generated content, citation manipulation, or other forms of publication misconduct.
By submitting a manuscript to the Review of Futures Markets, authors confirm that the work complies with this Plagiarism and Artificial Intelligence Policy and with the ethical standards expected of scholarly research and publication.
