Impact of Organizational citizenship Behaviour on Task performance in Delhi NCR: The mediating Role of Innovative Work Behaviour

This study Investigated the effect of Organizational Citizenship Behavior(OCB) on the Task Performance of IT professionals in Delhi, National Capital Region (NCR), through the mediating factor of Innovative Work Behaviour (IWB). This study involved data of 500 IT professionals of Delhi NCR (Gurugram, Noida & Delhi). This is causal study because it examines the impact of OCB directly on task performance and indirectly through IWB. This study used reflective -reflective model of OCB and IWB and disjoint two stage approach used in which first lower order construct reliability and validity checked and then raw score of dimensions used for higher order. AT higher order level dimensions of OCB and IWB used as items of higher order. Hypothesis were tested through Smart PLS–SEM version4. Measurement model reliability and validity are well established and structural model show path coefficient and its significance. Finding demonstrated that OCB positively impact Task performance. Results showed IWB partially mediate the relationship between OCB and Task performance. Based on the findings, the study recommends IT companies should improve employee OCB which enhance IWB and Task performance. IWB has a significant positive effect on Task Performance.
