Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a major technological force influencing modern commerce, business management, and consumer markets. The increasing availability of large datasets, cloud computing, advanced algorithms, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and intelligent automation has enabled organizations to incorporate AI into a wide range of commercial activities. Businesses increasingly use AI for demand forecasting, customer segmentation, recommendation systems, inventory management, fraud detection, dynamic pricing, marketing automation, sales forecasting, customer service, and strategic decision-making. The integration of AI is changing traditional assumptions about how firms create value, interact with consumers, manage resources, and compete in domestic and international markets. AI-powered recommendation systems can personalize shopping experiences, while predictive analytics can improve inventory planning and demand management. Chatbots and virtual assistants can provide continuous customer support, and intelligent automation can reduce the time associated with repetitive administrative processes. Nevertheless, the adoption of AI also creates significant challenges involving data privacy, cybersecurity, algorithmic bias, transparency, employment, technological dependence, and ethical responsibility. This paper examines the growing role of AI in modern commerce and analyzes its impact on business operations, marketing, customer relationships, retail management, supply chains, pricing, financial services, and organizational strategy. It argues that AI should be understood not merely as an automation technology but as a strategic capability that can reshape the architecture of commercial organizations. Sustainable adoption requires high-quality data, skilled employees, appropriate governance, human oversight, and alignment between technological investment and business objectives.
