Effects of EVs on Power Markets: Supply, Demand, and Legislative Consequences

As a result of electric vehicles becoming widely used, the energy industry, regulatory structures, and supply and demand dynamics will all change significantly. Electric vehicles' effects on power usage, grid management, and fuel markets will intensify in tandem with the proliferation of EVs. Electrical demand, the possibility of grid strain, the function of incorporating renewable energy sources, and the disconnection from conventional gasoline markets are four major facets of the impact of EV adoption on energy markets. We must also thoroughly examine the policy and legal ramifications of extensive EV adoption. New pricing systems, better infrastructure, and plans to manage the shift to EVs are all necessary. One way to understand the impact of electric vehicles on the energy sector is to look at patterns in energy consumption, new infrastructure, and regulatory actions in important sectors. It is imperative that governments, energy providers, and manufacturers collaborate to guarantee a sustainable, efficient, and environmentally and economically beneficial electric vehicle integration into the energy system. In order to ensure the long-term viability of electric vehicles, the authors argue that politicians should strive to improve the world's energy infrastructure, boost the use of renewable energy, and create regulatory frameworks.
