Abstract

Pandemic situations have significant impacts on both mental and physical health, affecting individuals, families, communities, and healthcare systems worldwide. Outbreaks of infectious diseases such as COVID-19, SARS, Ebola, and influenza have demonstrated how rapidly spreading illnesses can disrupt daily life, economic stability, education, employment, and social interactions. During pandemics, fear of infection, social isolation, uncertainty, financial stress, and loss of loved ones create serious psychological and emotional challenges, while the disease itself directly affects physical health and overall well-being. the effects of pandemic situations on mental and physical health and analyzes the social, emotional, and medical consequences of widespread disease outbreaks. It highlights the impact of pandemics on stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, sleep disorders, and emotional instability among different age groups. The physical health effects caused by infectious diseases, weakened immunity, lack of physical activity, unhealthy lifestyles, and limited access to healthcare services during emergency situations.
