Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are emerging technologies that are transforming modern education by creating immersive, interactive, and engaging learning environments. Virtual Reality provides a fully computer-generated digital environment that allows users to experience and interact with simulated situations, while Augmented Reality enhances the real-world environment by overlaying digital information such as images, animations, audio, and 3D objects onto physical surroundings. These technologies have significantly improved teaching methods, student engagement, and knowledge retention in educational systems. The integration of VR and AR in education supports experiential and interactive learning by enabling students to visualize complex concepts, perform virtual experiments, and explore realistic simulations. Subjects such as science, medicine, engineering, history, geography, and architecture benefit greatly from immersive educational experiences. VR-based learning environments allow students to participate in simulations and practical training without physical risks or high operational costs, while AR applications enhance classroom interaction through real-time digital content and visual learning tools.
